Brian Tanger / Founder

Coach Brian founded the company in 2000. His late father Brent J. Tanger was the driving force for which ESM Camps was created. There mutual love of sports helped inspire the philosophy and camp motto of "Never be afraid to make a mistake". Brian played in college as well as professionally oversees. He has coached at various venues including the Pump Classic which attracts the top 50 high school players in the country annually.

Kevin Yenchik / Coach

Coach Kevin worked at our camps in 2004 & 2005. Kevin played basketball locally at Milpitas high where he was an all CCS selection his senior year. He went on to play at West Valley College & Holy Names College where he was appointed Team Captain his senior year. He has also coached at Peidmont Hills High School where he helped them to a #1 ranking and 28-1 record in 2003.

Anthony Williams / Coach / Camp Counselor

Coach Anthony has worked at ESM camps the past three summers. Anthony was the CCS Mecury News Sophmore,Junior and player of the year his senior year at Oak Grove High School in San Jose. He currently plays division 1 basketball at Grambling University. His athleticsm and basketball IQ are very useful to our campers & coaches.

Brian Jones / Coach

Coach Jones has coached at ESM Camps since 2004. Brian has an excellent basketball backround. He played four years at SCU where he was a Western Conference first team performer three years running. He had tryouts with many NBA teams over the past few years. Brian currently plays professionally in Germany. Brian brings a great understanding to the game. He has a knack for being able to explain to the kids many of the drills we go through in our camps. He also is a tremendous role model for all of the children to look up to.

John Williams / Coach

John is a local boy who has had a great playing career locally as well as nationally. John played High school ball at Oak Grove, where he was the freshman, sophmore, junior & senior of the year in CCS! After one year at a prep school he transferred to Division 1 Conneticut. He is currently a sophmore and playing well. John is one of our most popular coaches at camp. His energy and enthusiasm gets the kids ready to play everday. He enjoys shooting around and playing knock out with the kids before and after camp.

Ryan Cooper / Camp Coach/Counselor

Currently Varsity Boys Head Basketball Coach at Del Mar High School.

Alex Kargbo / Coach

Alex is another local product who had a tremendous playing career. He played two years at Santa Clara University where he was an instrumental part of SCU's success during his tenure. Alex has a great understanding of the fundamentals as well as the x & o's of the game. He enjoys working with the kids on a one on one basis before and after camps to help improve there individual abilities.

Reggie Smith / Coach / Counselor

This past summer was coach Reggie's first summer with us. Reggie was first team all state at San Jose City College, he has received over fifteen division one scholarship offers. Reggie has worked over 25 camps around the country over the last 5 years. Reggie has very good post moves and he has worked with many of our kids on the importance of good footwork to make yourself a better player.

Jermon Wright / Coach

Jermon has played college basketball the past two years locally. He is a premier point guard and his ball handling skills are some of the best we have seen. His ability to teach our guards the importance of passing and ball handling have been invaluable to us.

Mario Moreno / Coach

Mario has been playing locally at DeAnza college the past two years. He has tremendous patience and is able to continually help kids with certain drills that they cannot learn. Mario is also one of our better shooting coaches at camp. He has worked with many of the players on proper shooting form as well as drills to improve shooting mechanics.
